4Objectives#

The objectives of project recognition signs are to:

• provide information to the public about the infrastructure project
• acknowledge the funding agencies' investment in road construction and infrastructure projects, and
• identify the associated benefits of the investment.

It is important that project recognition signs:

• effectively communicate information
• are implemented and designed consistently
• do not present a safety hazard, and
• do not obstruct any other roadside signs including advertising.
