If space is limited in the "A" size sign three (3) rows of red LED's may be considered. When the school zone reduced speed limit is in operation, the inner 2 rings of the red annulus LED's are to flash in time with the alternating yellow flashing lanterns. The outer 2 rings are to remain static for the duration of the specified time of operation. For all day times style enhanced school zone signs refer to R4-040-Q03 2. For performance and operating specifications refer to MRTS222 and AS5156. * When times are to be expressed in whole hours the "00" minutes notation shall not be shown. See page 3 for details. For guidance on the use of this sign refer to the Queensland MUTCD Part 4.
