5.3Traffic management plan submission and approval#

A TMP shall be submitted by the Contractor to the Administrator, for a direction from the Principal as to its suitability, at least 21 days before commencement of its implementation, or as nominated in Clause 2 in Annexure MRTS02.1. Where the work under the Contract consists of Separable Portions or other clearly identifiable sections, the TMP may be separated into identifiable sections.

The TMP shall:

• comply with any project specific requirements stated in Clause 2 of Annexure MRTS02.1
• include a Speed Management Plan, see Clause 5.4(i) and Appendix A, and
• where required by Clause 7, include a Traffic Management Inspection Schedule.

No traffic rearrangements shall be carried out until after the Administrator has advised the Contractor that the submitted, and amended as directed, TMP is approved and suitable for use. Hold Point 1
