Where an official, or an authorised officer, undertakes or directs to undertake an activity in accordance with their delegation, such as installing an official traffic sign, they are not civilly liable for an act done, or omission made, honestly and without negligence under a transport Act.58 Where liability cannot be attached to an individual, it is attached to the State of Queensland.59
