5.5.1AmendmentTo Table 5.5, using a temporary speed zone of less than 40 km/h, added 'unusually' to the first condition dot point and added a condition for when it is impractical to separate people walking or riding bikes from vehicular traffic in the work area. In the section 'Designing a speed limit', ― added a reference to Table 5.6 for when to use a speed limit AHEAD sign and when to duplicate the speed limit AHEAD sign on both sides of the road. ― clarified when to duplicate speed restriction signs on both sides of the road. ― clarified when to duplicate repeater speed restriction signs on both sides of the road. In the section 'Operational', added a reference to the 'Designing a speed limit' section for when to duplicate speed restriction signs.
5.9.1AmendmentIn the section 'Designing a taper', amended the requirements relating to tapers and proximity to intersections ― to 'merge' tapers only (in lieu of all tapers). ― amended requirements for Category 2 roads to only for the controlled leg on approach to an intersection. ― split the requirements for a Category 3 road into one dot point for ramps and intersections, and another dot point for the Category 3 main road and any ramps.

2.7.4AmendmentAdded sight distance requirements for traffic approaching a traffic controller with a STOP / SLOW bat or manually controlling a PTCD. Added reference to Section 2.6.2 and the sight distance requirements for a PTSS which is operating in vehicle actuated, or fixed time operation (no traffic controller).
2.9.2AmendmentAdded reference back to QGTTM Part 3 Section 4.8 (Item 7) for options available to a traffic controller when the traffic queue approaches the predicted end of queue location.
