129BDisqualification period for person driving more than 40km/h over speed limit#

  1. (1)This section applies if—
  2. (a)a person is convicted of an offence against a regulation for driving more than 40km/h over the speed limit; and
  3. (b)the court that convicts the person decides, under the Penalties and Sentences Act 1992, section 187, to disqualify the person from holding or obtaining a driver licence for a period.
  4. (2)The disqualification must be for a period of at least 6 months.
