(19)Evidence of compliance with subsection (16A)#

If a police officer delivers a specimen of blood (the specimen), or a specimen of saliva (also the specimen), or arranges for the specimen to be delivered on the officer’s behalf, to an analyst’s laboratory in a way prescribed by regulation, in any proceeding—

  1. (a)evidence of that fact given by the officer and any person who delivered the specimen on the officer’s behalf; and
  2. (b)a certificate, produced in evidence, purporting to be signed by the analyst certifying that the specimen was received at the analyst’s laboratory from the officer;

is sufficient evidence of compliance with subsection (16A).
